UX and UI are two important terms that are used in the world of front-end design. People get confused a lot of time since both of them are often used as a single term. The main job of UI is concerned with looks and ensuring responsive design, whereas UX is concerned with the functionalities, flow, and ease of interaction with the app.
What is UI?
UI stands for User Interface. It is concerned with designing all the elements that the user requires in order to interact with an app or website. It includes many elements like a button, Text box, animation, slider, animation, etc. UI design is a part of all the elements that make a website interesting and memorable. The Ul design is concerned with the website’s look, starting from the look of the color palette, button shapes, and so on. UI helps in website design with all the aesthetic and appealing elements. It makes sure that all the elements are in sync. The designers must be aware of the brand’s visual identity while designing an effective website for it. The visual identity of a brand gives the designer an idea about what the brand represents. So, it becomes easier for them to design the website.
What is UX?
UX is the abbreviation used for User Experience. It helps in determining the ease with which the user interacts with the website or an app. UX designers have a huge task of making the user interface organized and making sure that the elements present in the front end fit logically. UX designers ask a lot of questions to the users about the navigation or the front-end fit or whether the elements are in sync or not. This helps them in gathering information about the user’s experience. The designers are involved in the monotonous process of creating mockups, wireframes, etc. Designers implement new ways of interactions into the UX design based on the user’s feedback. It is mainly concerned with providing familiarity and comfort to the users. UX design is essential because it helps the users to satisfy their needs and wants. It aims to provide a user with a smooth journey that helps in building customer loyalty toward a brand. It also allows a user to share their experience on the website, which helps a business flourish.
UX UI Part in Websites and Apps
UX and UI design both are complementary in nature. These two elements are very important for the website and app creator. It helps in creating an interesting and attractive website or app interface. UX is concerned with the smooth journey of the website, whereas UI is concerned with the website’s appearance. An attractive interface without a good UX won’t make a place in the market because the effectiveness will drop. The user won’t have a smooth experience, whereas a website or app without a proper UI won’t be able to attract users because it won’t be visually attractive. Hence, both of them are equally important for a good website and a good app design.
